Yesterday something simple happened at work. I arrived a little earlier than usual because the bus was on time. The office was quiet, and only two other people were there. I made coffee, turned on my computer, and started checking my emails. Everything felt normal.
Around nine, I noticed that one report was missing from the shared folder. I needed it for a short meeting with my manager. I checked again, but it wasn’t there. I thought maybe I had saved it in the wrong place the day before. I looked through my desktop, my documents, even the trash folder. Nothing.
So I walked over to Daniel’s desk and asked if he had seen it. He remembered that we had worked on it together and suggested checking an older version in his folder. We found it in less than five minutes. It wasn’t the final version, but it was good enough for the meeting.
The meeting went smoothly. We reviewed the report, made two small changes, and finished early. After that, the rest of the day continued as usual. I answered emails, took a short lunch break, and left the office at six.
It wasn’t an important day. Nothing dramatic happened. It was just a normal problem with a simple solution.
