I thought maybe I had saved it in the wrong place the day before. I looked through my desktop, my documents, even the trash folder. Nothing. So I walked over to Daniel’s desk and asked if he had seen it. He remembered that we had worked on it together and suggested checking an older version in his folder. We found it in less than five minutes. It wasn’t the final version, but it was good enough for the meeting. The meeting went smoothly. We reviewed the report, made two small changes, and finished early. After that, the rest of the day continued as usual. I answered emails, took a short lunch break, and left the office at six.
